Interested in working with me?
Here's how to get started:
1. First, Decide if You Prefer Psychotherapy Services or are Better-Suited for my From Burnout to Balance Coaching Program
The difference? Psychotherapy services require that we meet in-person, in my office, and are focused more on processing emotional issues.
From Burnout to Balance is a coaching program designed to be more flexible, while also providing more structure and a concrete road-map for you to follow. We can meet online or in-person (in my office or in the community). Instead of having a co-pay each time you visit, you pay up-front for 6-months of support, or pay in monthly installments.
2. Schedule an Intake Appointment
Schedule an initial intake appointment through my online portal. This appointment will be to make sure we’re a good fit for working together based on your personal goals and my approach to counseling. If you are seeking enrollment in From Burnout to Balance, please make sure you mention this when completing your enrollment or send me an e-mail.
3. Share Your History & Goals
After scheduling your intake appointment through my online portal, you will be asked to create a username and password, and complete a biographical information form prior to your appointment. Before we meet, I like to know a bit about you and what you’d like to get out of working with me. Please set aside 10-15 minutes to complete this form online.
4. Confirm Your Appointment
If you’ve chosen to include your email when scheduling your intake, watch your inbox for a confirmation from me. Hit Reply to that email to confirm your upcoming appointment.
5. Meet for Your Intake Appointment
At the scheduled time of your intake, we’ll meet. We’ll use this time to make sure we’re the perfect fit before you commit to working together long-term.
If you are meeting for psychotherapy services and using insurance, make sure you check your card for the cost of your co-pay (it’s generally considered a “specialist” visit or “behavioral health” visit). Your co-pay will be due at this initial meeting.
6. Moving Forward
If you decide to work with me, we’ll begin! I’ll share with you the exact steps for getting started and will make initial suggestions based on what I’ve learned about you.
If you decide not to work with me or if we aren’t a perfect fit, I’ll be happy to share other resources to help you move forward and meet your goals.
I currently accept the following insurances for those requesting psychotherapy services in Rhode Island:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Brown University Student Health Insurance
- Johnson & Wales University
- Providence College
- United Health
- RISD Student Insurance
- URI / University of Rhode Island Student Insurance
Your co-pay will vary based on your exact insurance plan. If you have questions about your co-pay, please contact your insurance company. Some insurance companies charge therapy co-pays as a “specialist” visit, while others offer discounted co-pay rates for visits to behavioral health providers.
If I do not accept your insurance and you are interested in self-paying, my rates are below:
- Intake Session: $175/session (50 minutes)
- Continuing Sessions: $150/session (50 minutes)
- Sliding Scale: A sliding scale of $80 - $150 is offered to clients who are in need of a reduced fee to receive therapy.
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network counseling sessions.
Or prefer to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation before committing to an intake appointment? Please contact me.
Wellness & Self-Care Consulting
Revitalize your daily life no matter where you're located
With my combined experience in counseling, integrative yoga therapy, and exposure to various healing modalities, I also serve as a self-care specialist and coach to clients.
Clients who take advantage of Wellness & Self-Care Consulting are looking for strategies to revitalize their day-to-day lives, feel more empowered, and achieve a healthy, balanced lifestyle. They are often functioning well in many areas of life and do not feel the need for counseling – but want a little extra guidance to hold themselves accountable to making improvements and nurturing themselves on a regular basis.
Wellness & Self-Care Consulting is available in-person, as well as via video calls for clients who find this more convenient than a face-to-face meeting or who are unable to access my office in Rhode Island. All consultation appointments are self-pay; the out-of-pocket fees listed above apply.
